Jack Haley Jr was born in Los Angeles in 1933, the son of actor Jack Haley who played  the Tin Man in the Wizard Of Oz [1939]. During his career he directed many documentaries about Hollywood and cinema in general. He was married to Liza Minnelli between 1974 & 1979.

This marvellous documentary was first aired on US television on 28th November 1962. It was hosted by Henry Fonda and was produced by David L. Wolper Productions for television.

It has been included on this website because it covers the golden age of cinema and features some of the greatest stars and movies from that period. A wondeful sixty minutes of nostalgia.
